Process quality metrology ensures 100% traceability with real-time assessment. Operator-assisted setup tools enhance consistency. The ultrasonic weld joins aluminum and copper busbars without melting, splash, or residues, ensuring highly reliable, repeatable intermetallic joints with low electrical resistance. Battery cell and BMS connections are made with 300–500µm wires, and prismatic cells with 2000µm × 400µm ribbon. Direct ultrasonic welding is used for direct busbar connections for example in copper 3 × 3mm, thickness 1.2mm. Hesse laser welders joins higher-current connections with minimal force. A moving welding head applies controlled force at each weld point, optimizing contact at the weld. The enclosed nozzle extracts fumes and captures particles, maintaining clean processing conditions. Repeatable optical parameters reduce setup time, while programmable weld shapes allow for adaptable, user-friendly operation.
