GARCIA Justo

Justo Garcia is the Head of the Financing Strategy for the Battery project at Orano. He manages the team in charge of the EU and French fundings and is responsible for coordinating consortium activities. He is the coordinator of the RECYVABAT project, supported under the French recovery Plan “France Relance”.

Justo has more than 25 years of professional experience at Orano Group where he has held various positions as engineering manager, project manager, product manager, head of R&D department and R&D program manager.

In 2019, Justo launched the project dedicated to the development of innovative battery recycling process and set up a joint research laboratory with the CEA at Grenoble, France.

In December 2021, Justo was elected member of the Executive Board of the BEPA (Batteries European Partnership Association) as a representative of the battery recycling industry.

Justo holds an executive MBA from Paris Dauphine-PSL University and a Master’s degree in Energy Systems Modelling from Aix-Marseille University (France).
