DEMONTHY Cédric

Cédric Demonthy obtained his Master of Science in Business Engineering from HEC Liège (Belgium) in 2002.

He began his career at NMC in 2003, where he held several key positions, including Chief Executive Officer of NMC America, Inc. In 2010, he joined Lhoist, progressing through various leadership roles before serving as Director of Corporate Development & Strategy. Moving to EverZinc in 2019, he ultimately became Vice President of Fine Zinc Powder & Battery Materials, leading the global FZP and Zinc Battery Materials business.

In February 2024, Cédric joined Umicore as Vice President of Battery Recycling Solutions. As Global Head of the business unit, he is driving the upscaling of the current industrial pilot plant in Hoboken, Antwerp, while preparing future growth plans of Umicore’s battery recycling business, with operations expected to start in 2032 at the earliest.
