ZHENG Allen

With 17 years of experience at Rio Tinto, Allen has worked across a wide range of products and business functions. In his current role as Technical Marketing Manager for Minerals, he focuses on building strong relationships with industry associations, academia, and development partners to create value for both the business and its customers.

In the lithium-ion battery sector, Allen has spearheaded technical marketing efforts to promote the use of boric acid. He is also responsible for developing new applications for lithium-containing co-products and creating cross-product solutions to drive business growth.

Allen holds bachelor’s degrees in materials engineering from Wuhan University of Technology and Monash University, along with a master’s in commerce from the University of Queensland. He is based in Singapore.
