RUL Alicia

Alicia RUL is working as Energy storage and liquid dispersion Business Unit Manager for Nanocyl, a brand of Birla Carbon (Sambreville, Belgium), one of the world leaders in Carbon Nanotubes (CNT). In this BU, Alicia’s team is working on the development and the improvement of CNTs (from lab. to production implementation) and also on the dispersion of these CNT and Carbon black (CB) into liquids like water and solvents for battery applications but also for coatings applications. These solutions for industries make Nanocyl a supplier of ready-to-use solutions; either powder of dispersed CNT. She is also in charge of the tyre and rubber goods product line and developments as the Global Elastomer coordinator.

She joined the Technical Services and Development team of Nanocyl in 2012. She was in charge of worldwide technical support for customers for thermoplastic, rubber, thermosets, and polyurethane applications and coordinates a development team for custom productions. She lead projects from development till the commercial stage. She was based in Detroit, Michigan, USA from 2018 to 2021 as Technical Sales Manager Americas. She is the author or co-author of several papers.
She graduated in Polymer Science and Engineering from ENSICAEN (Caen, France), and holds a PhD. thesis in Rubber nano-reinforcement for industrial applications from University of Caen (UCBN, France) in partnership with Hutchinson Research Center. She completed her formation with an Accelerated Management Program at the Solvay Business School from Bruxelles, Belgium.
